Females are longer than males. Females Can grow up to 5 ft. Males can grow up to be 4.6 feet. They weigh about 120 pounds. The vaquita is the smallest porpoise in the world. Vaquita's have a round head ( no beak), flat teeth, has fins, black circles around the eyes and mouth, and the body looks like a dolphins.
Diet
Vaquitas eat ocean fish such as Gulf croaker and bronze-striped grunts. They are also known to eat squid. The vaquita is a carnivore.
Life Cycle
Their lifespan is approximately 20 years. The oldest ever found was 21 years old. The vaquita lives in the wild.
Reproduction
A female will give birth every 2 years or so. They have one offspring at a time.
Behavior
Vaquitas use sonar to communicate with each other. They are either alone or in groups of 2-3.
